Randall was a great tutor because he was patient, very knowledgeable, provided insightful hints and strategies, was always able to find a way to make sense of and explain an otherwise confusing concept, and truly cared that the student understood and felt confident about what he/she was trying to learn.

GET TO KNOW THE GRE

The GRE is a standardized test used to evaluate prospective students applying to various graduate school programs. The GRE is taken at a computer-based test center. The GRE is required for most liberal arts masters and doctoral programs, and measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking, and analytical writing skills. The computer test is given year-round, with test times throughout the day.

The format of the test is as follows:

Computer Adaptive Test (CAT)

1. Essay: Analysis of an Issue 45 min
2. Essay: Analysis of an Argument 30 min
3. Verbal Section
(30 questions)
30 min
4. Quantitative Section
(28 questions)
45 min

The essay segments always come first on the GRE, but the math and verbal may alternate. Additionally, you may also have an experimental extra section which will be either a verbal or math section. There will be no indication of which section is experimental.
